Musica anni 80: Nella nostra personalissima lista ci sono brani di musica anni 80 ci sono sia gruppi caratteristici di quegli anni (ad esempio i Men at Work, Toto e Billy Idol) sia di leggende della musica che hanno fatto parte di quel decennio ma che ancora continuano a essere tra i grandi: ci sono per esempio i Duran Duran (David Lynch ha girato un film sul gruppo), David Bowie, i Queen, i Depeche Mode, a George Michael, al boss Bruce Springsteen (abbiamo scelto Born in the USA) ed infine gli U2, che durante gli anni 80 hanno pubblicato quelle che probabilmente sono i loro migliori album.

I generi più influenti della musica anni 80

Gli anni 80 furono certamente tra i più fecondi di nuovi generi musicali, uno dei più importanti fu certamente la New wave. Questo genere musicale nacque tra la fine degli anni settanta e i primi ottanta. Diretto discendente del punk rock, al suo interno contiene numerose influenze musicali, tra cui la disco, il funk, la musica pop e lo ska. Il new wave, essendo un termine generico che raccoglieva diverse influenze musicali, non ha delle caratteristiche che lo contraddistinguono perciò al suo interno ci rientrano parecchi gruppi che musicalmente hanno poche assonanze in comune. Tra i più famosi ricordiamo: The Human League, Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, a-ha, New Order, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Ultravox e Pet Shop Boys (questi gruppi sono più vicini ad una sottocategoria chiamata syntopop) ma possiamo trovare anche gruppi come i: Gang of Four, Joy Division, The Cure e Siouxsie and the Banshees (questi gruppi più vicini al post-punk).
